I can't take the credit for having the Pom Pom idea. That's Kim at Fine and Funky Events again. Her head is like an idea pinata. Anyway, I came across these variations today which I thought were pretty:

I imagine the second (white) ones use up less materials which could possibly overcome any budget constraints if you have them.
